Can you believe that it is already December!!!!!

Well, here we go again.  The rest of the story is below. I am still having trouble with the picture placement. Better luck next time.
Lee and Riley shoveling snow off the driveway.

The snow is beautiful but we tired of it after a few days.

Boy have I been behind the eight ball. We had a great trip to Montana to visit with the kids and Lee went deer hunting. Lee and the kids all got their deer and Nana did what she loves best, staying with the little ones. We had nice weather while we were there and went with Dane and Tonya  trick or treating on Halloween. Even we adults enjoyed some of Dane's candy
We had our first snow in the early part of Nov. and have continued to have it off and on for the last few weeks. It is suppose to be a heatwave tomorrow of 50 degrees. Lee is ready to head south anytime. We are now in the process of getting ready for Christmas and packing the trailer.
Friday we went with Shannon and the boys to the Eagle Crest tour of lights.
Porter couldn't get enough of the lights and loved the horses pulling the wagon loads of people. Santa wasn't bad either because he had candy canes.
Porter says he had been a good boy. I will try to post some pictures on to this page. That's about all for now. I am off to Portland Monday to help my mom and dad for a few days. I am praying that the snow in the mountains give me a break coming home the middle of the week.
Merry Christmas to everyone.

Wyatt wasn't to sure about this Santa business.

What A Beautiful Fall!!!

Hi All,
Almost 2 months since the last post.  We have been soooo busy with fishing and not too much catching. The picture below is the only good day the guys had on the Sandy River.  They all got their two fish that morning.
I spent time with Clint and Tanya in  September while they were out hunting the Rocky Mountain Goat.  I did Nana sitting with the kids and really enjoyed it.  I had forgotten how much work they are.  Little Kimber is still nursing and gets up at least 2 times a night and needless to say doesn't have much patience while Nana heats up the bottle. But boy was she happy when the milk started flowing. Dane had grown so much and was such a good boy!  We read lots of books and went to the park a few times.   I will try to add a picture of the Goat and the Antalope that Tanya shot last week.  They are busy filling the freezer for this winter.  Lee and I are heading up there for about a week .
I was going to try to add extra pictures from the hunting trip but their seems to be some operator error. I will try to add them after I finish or just by themselves on another post.  We had a wonderful crop of Tomatoes, flowers and potatoes.  I planted 6 little fingerling potatoes and dug up about 18lbs of potatoes.  They taste just wonderful. We are going to have a few green tomatoes so I am going to try fried green tomatoes.  I will let you all know how they taste next month. That's about all for now.

Home Sweet Home

Almost September and I am finally home for a few weeks.  Lee has been busy fishing down at my brotherand sister inlaws in Astoria.  Fishing was wonderful, catching not so good.  In one week of fishing they only got 3 keepers. I guess the catching has been pretty spotty.  I did catch a silver coho, but had to put it back because it was a native.  Lee did get a nice silver on his last day fishing and it weighed in at 15lbs.
Lee is off again to go to the sandy river for fishing at the mouth of the sandy for a week. He left this morning in the rain. I hope that isn't a promise of the weather to come in the valley.
I will be working in that jungle we call a tomatoe garden for the next few days.  I got the biggest green catapiler that I have ever seen yesterday. I was wondering what was eating all the leaves off the tomatoes. I have had several zucchini from the garden. When I returned home from Astoria I discovered that some little rodent liked my basil !  I was expecting to do a batch of pesto.  Maybe next year.  Below are a few pictures of Porter and Wyatt at the Prineville resevrvior playing in the water and sand. We had a great time!
That's about it for now. The sun is out and so I guess I have to go to the garden before the next rain shower.

IS IT AUGUST ALREADY!!!!!!!

I know I have said it before, but where has our summer gone??? Since the last post we have been on the fast track, no time to down load pictures or do updates.  We had a wonderful visit with Clint, Tanya and the kids in Montana.  We arrived home on the 10th of July and I was on my way to LA the  12th of July. My sis, Debbie had herniated her L 5 disc and was having surgery on the 13th.  I was there for almost 3 weeks helping her thru two surgeries and on epidural to the L 4 and L 5 disc. This happen when she was flying home from Japan (she is a flight attendant) and we hope that workers comp will accept the claim since it happened on the job.  I was home from LA on the 1st of Aug and then off to the Crook county fair on the 2nd and 3rd.  Lee had cataract surgery on his left eye on the 5th. We had appts with the doc for a couple of days and then spent the 7th with Sam and Shannon at the fair.  We had such a great time the little boys really

enjoyed the animals and even rode the ponies!!!!  I entered herbs, tomatoes and flowers at the fair and came home with 6 blue ribbons and a 1 red ribbon.  I am all excited for next year now.  We have tomatoes coming out our ears and plenty of beans, peppers and zucchini.  Well, that is about all for now. It is suppose to heat up to the 90's for the next 4 days.  We may try to get to the lake for some water time.  Hope all is well with everyone out there.  Have a great weekend !  Enjoy!!!!!

Summer has finally arrived as of last week!!!! Things in the garden are doing great. I'm not bragging but!!!! so far it is the best garden that we have produced. We are already eating squash from the garden and the beans and potatoes have buds and we have a couple of tomatoes starting to ripen.

Last weekend was the Parade and Rodeo at the fairgrounds. The weather was in the
80's and there was a wonderful turn out. The Parade had old cars, floats, horses, both real and the stick kind. The only band in the parade was a hit. Pictures below. Sat. evening we went to the Rodeo with our friends and had a good time.

Today I we are getting packed to go see the new little girl up in Great Falls. Lee's knee is doing real well he is already back on his bike for short rides.

That's about all for now. Have a great 4th of July. Remember the RED,WHITE, and BLUE and those who serve our wonderful country!

June 2nd and raining!!!

What is that they say about June showers bring July peppers or something like that! Ya, it is suppose to rain off and on all week, but what the heck we will have lots of water in the ground for summer when it gets here. The garden is benefiting from the rain. I already have peppers set on and a tomatoe plant has the start of a few tomatoes. We just hope we are thru the freezing weather. I will be out putting up the plastic on the tomatoes if we get cold weather. Our tomatoes are bigger this year than ever before at this time of the year.
A few pictures of Lee ape bite on his knee and the color show on his leg. He is doing real good walking about 2/3 of a mile each day and doing therapy all week. He will be glad when he gets the staples out on Friday.
Next week I get to go pick up the travel trailer and drive it home. (Lee can't drive for at least a month.) It will be good experience for me incase I ever have to pull the trailer on our travels. I will keep everyone posted as to the trip home from Redmond. Have a great week.

Lee's Surgery

First: Thank you to all the veterns who gave so much. We thank you everyday for our freedom.
Lee had his knee replaced on Tue and was home on Friday with a with a walker and new knee. He had been doing just wonderful. He starts therapy on Tue and will have it for 1 month. He is already walking without the walker in the house, but uses it outside to take his walks infront of the house. A couple of pictures below of his before surgery and walking at home yesterday. I must say he wasn't smiling as much when he got out of surgery. I stayed with Sam, Shannon and the boys for four days and they took awsome care of Nana!! Sam,Shannon and the boys took the camper on its first trip to the lake to go fishing for the weekend. Clint and Tanya are also up at their cabin this weekend. Time is getting close for the new babies arrival. Less than a month now. Well, that's about all for now. Let Freedom Ring!!!!

Family

Last week I was in Portland to see my folks and my brother and sister both came so we had a small family get together. Dad and mom had Dr. appts and my sister Deb was on vacation and was able to come up for a few days. Mom and dad are doing well. We purchased tomatoes for dad to plant in the garden. I was surprised to see all the flowers I had planted in the planter below the house are still there !!! not bragging mind you.
Lee is suppose to have his knee surgery tomorrow morning, but took a tumble this morning and now has a lump the size of an egg on his elbow. We are waiting to hear
from the Dr. to see if they will still want to do surgery tomorrow. We will keep everyone advised.
I have been having some trouble with the blog lately so don't know if the picture will show up. Take care and I will write more later
