Memorial Day Weekend

Its, time to remember all those who keep us safe in our homes and allow us all the freedom's that we so much enjoy in this country. THANK YOU!!! To everyone who is out traveling on our roads this Memorial Day weekend, drive safe and hope you all enjoy this weekend. Lee and Sam worked on a new patio for Sam and Shannon on Friday. Nana got to spend a couple of days with Shannon and Porter. Porter is getting another tooth and was a little cranky. Saturday we got together with friends for a barbecue and of course the food was wonderful and we all ate to much. Today we will be up at the lake with the Moroney family and their grandchildren along with Sam, Shannon and Porter. It is so nice to see all the boys grown up with their kids. Brings back memories. Monday I am off to Portland to spend time with my folks and Lee is going to try to catch some fish up at the reservoir with Riley's help. Below are a few pictures of what has been going on at the Houston house and baby pictures of course! The Kitty has taken a liking to the planter on the front porch.

Where has the time gone!!

Hi, This is a what you call a problem post. Having trouble arranging the pictures down at the bottom of the screen. Who knows how this is going to turn out. My Christmas catus thinks it is Christmas. It is just full of blooms.

Hi,

Can you believe that it is already the 11th of May. Hope all the mothers out there had a wonderful day! We have been busy with our above ground garden beds and planting. Lee did a nice job making and filling them. Pictures to follow. Now we just hope that the vegetables grow! It is suppose to be 22 degrees tonight. That would be a new record for here. I can do without a new record!!!!
Last week we had a nice visit with our friends Frank and Sandi Watkins who we met in Cabo and Peter and Lorraine Craigon who were coming home from Cabo heading to Canada. We played Mexican Train Dominos until almost midnight. ( that's real late for us old folks ) Lee heard about all the warm winter weather and is now trying to figure out how he can get some of that for next year.
Today we did what older folks due in the spring, cut wood!!!! It used to be much easier for both Lee and myself. The morning started out beautiful, blue sky and 37 degrees at 7 AM and by 10AM it was snowing!!!!! Didn't stop us though (darn it). Can you tell how excited I was to be out there??? We did get a nice load of wood and if I am still able to move on Thursday we will go get another load before the nice fallen tree we discovered is taken by someone else!
Shannon has 7 weeks to go until the new little boy arrives, Nana can hardly wait.
Well, that's about it for now. Wishing everyone a great week.

This is our load of wood from today, can you believe that it snowed on us this morning.
