Happy April Fools Day!!!!!

Hi, It's SNOWING again and that's no April fools day joke!!! We are soooo much better off than
North Dakota, but we sure are ready for sun and warm weather. Not a lot going on here. I spent several days with my folks in Portland last week and they are both coming along. Dad still is experiencing the effects of the radiation but the Dr. says that will continue for the next few months. Needless to say he is ready get on with life and back to normal. Moms CT scan of the liver looked good no new cancer and the tumor still looks dead!!! God does answer prayers.
I spent yesterday afternoon babysitting Porter while Shannon had some labs done at the hospital. What a change two weeks can make. He is walking all over the place and just can't seem to keep still for more than a couple of minutes. (I had forgotten about that) we had a great time exploring all his toys. This weekend Shannon and I are off to Bend for the library book sale. Lee and Sam are going to babysit! Male bonding time.
I picked up a package of re blooming Daylillies at Costco and can't wait to get them in the ground and see if they grow!!! (not till the snow is gone and hope the deer don't like them)
Well that is about all for now.

Birthday time!!!

Last week we spent the weekend with Sam, Shannon and Porter working on the fixing and cleaning of the duplex. in Bend. Porter turned 1 year old on the 21st of March. The kids had a party for him and we enjoyed it!! Porter probably won't remember his first but we have pictures! Saturday he was outside playing in his new sandbox and Sunday morning we had snow on the ground again. Spring where are you???? Tuesday I am off to see my folks for a few days and do Dr. appts with them. Mom is suffering from a cold now. I am hoping that she will keep it to herself. Clint and Tanya are moved into the new house and Clint is getting first had experience at plumbing problems!!!! He can't wait to get done with the repair issues. Not much else going on right now. Bye for now.
Sam idea of keeping Porter busy for a while.

Shannon blowing out the candle and Porter going what's this?

The sandbox is a big hit!!!

Dane loves playing in the water but because of the tubes in his ears he can't have much in his tub.

It's been a year already!!!!!!

Hi, I can't believe it but it has been a years since little Dane was born Mar. 9Th. Time is just rushing by. Dane has 12 teeth already and is standing by himself for a few seconds and crawling everywhere!!! Clint says he can wait for the walking to start as he has trouble keeping up with him now. Clint, Tanya and Dane are moving into a new home this weekend. We wish we could be there to help. Lee is in Portland with his sister Jeanette helping her for several days as she recovers from surgery to put 2 pins the ankle that she broke last week. Old people, we all get our turn. Riley and I have been keeping the home fires burning as the temps have been in the low teens at night. Spring where are you????? Lee will be home this Friday and Saturday it is off to clean a duplex in Bend. Our tenants moved out after 8 years, so it will be a major cleaning job. We are suppose to have rain and snow mix this weekend so I guess it will be a good time to be inside. Sam and Shannon are going to help so Nana gets to see Porter. Well, got to run more after this weekend. Below are some pictures of Dane and his birthday.

Cake is so much fun!!!now what do I want next???Birthdays are sooo much fun!

Home again

Finally I am going to do a new post. Sorry It has been so long. February has just flown bye. Probably because we were gone so much. We left for Montana on the 10th and returned on the 18th of Feb. While we were there we helped the kids paint and clean the new house they purchased. We all got the 24hr flu. Tanya came down first on Sunday morning and then one at a time we all followed about 12hr apart. Wallpaper!!!! I hope I never have to take off anymore. We did the kitchen and bathroom. The Kitchen was pretty easy only 1 layer but the bathroom now that was another story, about 3 layers and it had been painted over on the top. What a mess!!!! The kids now have new paint, vinyl, and rug. I will add a couple of pictures later. I left to go to Portland for my dad's 88th birthday on Sunday ( way to go dad!!!!) and returned on Friday the 27th. this month has just flown bye. Dad is home from the VA nursing center after a 7 week stay for his radiation. I brought him home on Thursday and he is doing well. Both the grand kids are just about ready to start walking. Shannon says Porter is to young to be walking she can't believe that he is almost a year old. Dane will turn 1 on the 9th of March and Porter on the 21st of March. Lee and I are going to be home for the month of March and that will be good. I will post more later. Hope everyone is having a good weekend. The new house in Montana

On the road again

How about those darn Steelers!!! If we could just take back the last 40 seconds the Cardinals would have won!!! I was rooting for the under dog! Boy what a second half. Maybe next year. It has felt like spring the last 2 days in the upper 50's. We could get spoiled. Our snow is pretty much gone now except where it doesn't get any sun.
Lee and I are off on Tue to go to Clint and Tanya's in Montana for a week. We hope the weather holds till we get there. The kids purchased a new house and we will be painting, cleaning and ripping up carpet. I will also get in some Nana time.

Both Porter and Dane are crawling and pulling themselves up on everything. Sam and Shannon were over here a week ago and Porter was in 7th heaven with all the new places to crawl and things to see.
This tax preparation weekend!!! Lee and I could think of many other things we would rather do, but it is time!!!!
My Mom and Dad are doing good. Dad is 1/2 way thru his radiation treatments and doing pretty good. Mom misses him, but talks to him everyday. That's about all for now. Here are a couple of recent pictures of my wildlife family and Porter . Sam is hiding behind Porter

Kitty is enjoying a little sun.The deer are checking out the grass below the snow and the bird seed.

Back to reality

Hi,
Well, we are back to the reality of winter in Central Oregon after a great time of sunshine and warm sand. We were lucky to have great weather while we were there and lots of great food and fun. Lee was out fishing every morning off the bank. Fishing was great catching was slow. He did go out in the ocean and catch dinner for us and others on the boat one day. We saw lots of whales the day we went snorkeling. I did a little bargaining on the beach for a few trinkets. Lee and I did kayaked and enjoyed being out on the water. Puerto Vallarta is really growing, more hotels every time we come. We were suppose to get home on Friday evening at midnight but when we got to Seattle the Redmond airport was closed due to freezing fog so we spent the night in Seattle expecting to get up in the morning and catch the afternoon or evening flight to Redmond but again, the airport was closed due to weather. We were fortunate enough to get the plane to Portland on Sat late afternoon and there along with 4 other people we rented a car and drove home. Needless to say it was nice to finally get home. We are very lucky I guess because this is the first time this has every happened to us due to weather. We went from 82 degree weather to about 18 degrees burrrrr!
Below are a few pictures from the trip and our winter weather.

Sunshine and Blue Sky!!!

Hi Everyone,
Sunshine and blue sky says it all!!! We are in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico and taking a break from the weather up north. Saturday morning when we left Prineville it was 22 degrees and I was wearing summer clothes. Needless to say, I about froze my buns off. I have been in shorts since we arrived and it is wonderful. Lee has hardly moved his buns off the warm sand need I say more. Our friend Dan Ball is down here also and he and Lee may go out fishing later this week. The fishing has been a little slow but yesterday they came in with lots of sierra. Later next week Lee and I are going to go out snorkeling and kayaking for the day on a tour boat. That will be my big trip down here except for shopping.
We went out to eat at PiPis on Sunday and I am still full. I just love the food down here and my
waist will probably show it by next week when we return home.
Porter, Sam and Shannon's son is now crawling. We will be keeping Shannon busy from now on.
I don't know if I mentioned it but Sam and Shannon are expecting in June. Of course we can hardly wait.!!
Dane, Clint and Tanya's son is also crawling like mad and just had tubes put in both ears. We hope this will help him with his ear infections.
Well, that's about all for now. I will post some pictures when we get back home (providing that we take any)
