Where did March and April go????

In these two pictures the 3 little boys,Porter, Wyatt and Dane are all playing up in the woods above the our driveway.
They were so cute, gathering sticks and rocks to make a camp fire.  They played for hours.  It brings back memories of when Sam and Clint were little.

He we are in May and things around the old homstead have been really hopping!  We had a great visit with Clint and Tanya in April.  Camping and fishing with Sam and Shannon.  All the events included the grandbabies of course.  Lee and I are doing great and feeling good.  I am off to Portland for a week to visit and do Dr. appts with my Mom and Dad.  Clint these pictures are for you.  Fishing pictures will be coming in the next week, maybe. 

HI AGAIN

Sorry it has been soooo long since the last post, but being on the road has made me lazy. Here are some pictures of our time in Parker.  Lee and I did some hiking, biking, gambling (just a little bit!!!) and playing in the water.  We had some days in the low 40's and by the time we left it was in the 90's.  I was ready to come home by then it was getting a little warm for me.  Lee and Riley were just starting to get used to the nice weather.

 Lee tried boating when we first arrived, fishing was wonderful but no fish. I don't think we will take a boat next year.

 This was was hike we took with the George's.  The rocks and canyons were really interesting.

Instead of leaving his heart in San Francisco, Riley left his in Parker on the banks for the Colorado River.
He had such a great time playing in the water and is waiting here for summer to arrive so he can swim in the  reservoir.  We left in the snow on the 26th of Dec and arrived in Bend on the 21st of March and it was snowing on the way.  I was already to start digging in the dirt, but we have had snow and rain since arriving home so it will wait for at least another month. Tanya and Clint are here and she has helped me with some
updating on the blog and face book.  I will be updating during the next week I promise with pics of Porter's
birthday and Clint and Tanya's visit.

Happy Valentines Day!!!!

6 weeks since the last post, still no pictures, but we have been pretty busy.  Eric and Sondra visited for a couple of days.  We went to a party for the bcs title game with Oregon and had lots of fun.   To bad Oregon didn't win, better luck next year.  We spent two weeks in Quartzite in the desert camping with friends Hal and Ellie from California.  We had a good time. No rain this year but it did get down to freezing several nights and pretty windy for a couple of days.  Lee and I rode our bikes most days and did a little rock hunting.  I did find a very nice piece of Crystal.   We came back in time to watch the super bowl game.  What a game!!! Our team won so it was even better.  We spent a day watching the Parker 425 auto race and ate our share of dust.  There were over 200 cars entered this year.  Last week I went with friends Dorothy and Ruth and we took the kayak's out for about 2 hrs. You can't believe some of the houses on the water.  Yesterday Lee and I went out in the desert and hiked with friends for a few hrs.  There is really some pretty country out there.  Today it is house cleaning day and tomorrow it is Valentines Day.  We hope you all have a great day.  They are having a pancake breakfast here in the club house so I am taking my valentine to breakfast.

Happy New 2011

Here it is a brand new year, full of new experiences, life, love and friends.  We are so blessed and thank the lord everyday. 
We left home in the snow and headed to Sam and Shannon's for Christmas.  There snow on the ground and lots of goodies for our waist lines and fun with the little boys.  We were able to talk to Clint,Tanya and Dane. Clint was home for Christmas and all was good.
We had a good quick trip down to Parker. Leaving on the 26th of Dec. from Bend we arrived in Parker the evening of 27th of Dec.  2 long twelve hour days of driving and we arrived to the sun and warm weather!
Well, maybe Lee spent the first afternoon here in his shorts getting caught up on his tan.  Needless to say that
was the last time he has had his shorts on.  We have had freezing mornings and winds in the afternoon.  We are lucky though no snow and highs in the 50's. It is suppose to get warmer later this week.  Riley is settling in well. I have been playing card bingo and what a hoot! I won have of the first pot on my first game and
never came close again.  I will try to better the average tonight.  Lee and I were off to the casino for $10
of free play when you sign up for the players club. I won $9 and Lee won $5. We are the last of the big spenders so we left while we were ahead. 
Our friends from Oregon, Eric and Sondra Moroney are suppose to arrive here later tonight. They are on their way down for the Oregon Ducks game on the 10th of Jan. in Phoenix.  It will be good to see them and go to the China Buffet in Lake Havasu.
Well, that's about it for now. I will have to post pictures later.

Can you believe that it is already December!!!!!

 Well, here we go again.  The rest of the story is below. I am still having trouble with the picture placement. Better luck next time.

The snow is beautiful but we tired of it after a few days.



Boy have I been behind the eight ball. We had a great trip to Montana to visit with the kids and Lee went deer hunting. Lee and the kids all got their deer and Nana did what she loves best, staying with the little ones. We had nice weather while we were there and went with Dane and Tonya  trick or treating on Halloween. Even we adults enjoyed some of Dane's candy

We had our first snow in the early part of Nov. and have continued to have it off and on for the last few weeks. It is suppose to be a heatwave tomorrow of 50 degrees. Lee is ready to head south anytime. We are now in the process of getting ready for Christmas and packing the trailer.

Friday we went with Shannon and the boys to the Eagle Crest tour of lights.
Porter couldn't get enough of the lights and loved the horses pulling the wagon loads of people. Santa wasn't bad either because he had candy canes.

Porter says he had been a good boy. I will try to post some pictures on to this page. That's about all for now. I am off to Portland Monday to help my mom and dad for a few days. I am praying that the snow in the mountains give me a break coming home the middle of the week.

What A Beautiful Fall!!!

Hi All,

Almost 2 months since the last post.  We have been soooo busy with fishing and not too much catching. The picture below is the only good day the guys had on the Sandy River.  They all got their two fish that morning.

I spent time with Clint and Tanya in  September while they were out hunting the Rocky Mountain Goat.  I did Nana sitting with the kids and really enjoyed it.  I had forgotten how much work they are.  Little Kimber is still nursing and gets up at least 2 times a night and needless to say doesn't have much patience while Nana heats up the bottle. But boy was she happy when the milk started flowing. Dane had grown so much and was such a good boy!  We read lots of books and went to the park a few times.   I will try to add a picture of the Goat and the Antalope that Tanya shot last week.  They are busy filling the freezer for this winter.  Lee and I are heading up there for about a week .

I was going to try to add extra pictures from the hunting trip but their seems to be some operator error. I will try to add them after I finish or just by themselves on another post.  We had a wonderful crop of Tomatoes, flowers and potatoes.  I planted 6 little fingerling potatoes and dug up about 18lbs of potatoes.  They taste just wonderful. We are going to have a few green tomatoes so I am going to try fried green tomatoes.  I will let you all know how they taste next month. That's about all for now.
