Can you believe 61 yrs old!!!

I don't know where the time goes. It is hard to believe that I am 61 years old. I celebrated with mom and dad when I was in Portland just before my birthday. They are doing well and I hope Ican look as good as they do when I get to my middle 80's.

Sam, Shannon and the boys came over on the Big day and brought Pizza and Brownies. Porter was only to happy to help Nana blow out the candles. It was a nice day and the boys got to take rides on Grandpa's tractor. On Thursday Lee and I took the new trailer over to the Deschuttes River. Sam, Shannon and the boys joined us on Friday. The weather was perfect!!! The fishing was good and the catching was GREAT!!! We must have caught about 20 fish with 3 of them being keepers. Porter found out he likes Sturgeon. More fish he kept saying!
The trailer worked good and we just can't get over how much room there is compared to the camper. Well, that's about all for now. It has been snowing all morning again and I guess it is a good day to clean house or take a nap.

Proud fishermen!!

Hi Again

Can you believe here it is the 30th of March and it is snowing today!!! So much for the nice weather we had about 2 weekends ago. Well, you know how sometimes ideas have a way of becoming real?? We had been thinking about purchasing a travel trailer for the winters in AZ and by magic one appeared in our drive way a week ago! We are really excited to take it out on a trial run the middle of April. The trailer is 26ft long with a rear lounge and a sofa and dinette. Plenty of space for 6 people to sleep. Riley is hoping one of the beds will be his!!

Lee and I spent 2 nights camping and fishing with the kids on the Deschutes River the third week of March. The weather was so nice. We had so much fun with the grandkids!! Porter is into throwing rocks, sticks or anything he can into the river.( a boy all the way ) The kids tented and we used the camper, the last trip before we sell it. Next time we will try the trailer! We fished on Saturday and caught at least 10 sturgeon but none were quite long enough to keep. It was still fun catching

Sam and Porter watching Shannon bring in a fish.
Nana and Wyatt. He's not to sure about all this. Fishing is really hard work. The boys decided it was time to take a nap. Riley also thought that was a good idea.

Sam, Shannon, Porter and Wyatt.

Sam and Shannon discussing how to bring that fish in!!!!
Porter and Dane are both two now. I can't believe it. Last week Shannon and Sam had a get together for Porter. His favorite toy was Buz light year. ( I think that is what he is called.) Porter takes him to bed and everywhere.
Cake was had by all. I think that Porter liked the frosting best!!!
Well, that's about all for now. Lee and I are both off in the morning to the dentist office to get our new crowns put on. It seems that with age things just wear out!!! Happy Easter everyone!

Pictures from Parker

We saw these wonderful pyrotechnics coming from Lake Havasu.

An afternoon of fast boats on the Colorado River.

Riley doesn't nearly as fast as the boats but had a great time fetching sticks and balls!

We are now in Erenberg, AZ and have a very nice campsite on the banks of the Colorado River. Nice weather in the 70's . We are off to Palm Desert on Friday for about a week. Hope the weather holds. We will post more as we go.

Arizona

Hi All, It seems like it has been forever since I have written. We have been on the road since the 13th of Jan. It has been quite an adventure. We arrived in Quartzsite on the 16th of Jan. and spent 2 weeks on the desert dry camping. You know how I love the comforts of home, but we made it. A couple of days would be just fine for me, 2 weeks is a little too long. Lee and Riley loved the desert. Below you will be able to see our home away from home. We did have some real strong winds, 75 mph on evening and lots of rain. Thank goodness that we had picked a high spot so the water could run abound us. Leaving the desert we went up to Laughlin, Nevada for3 days and I lost all of $4. (much to the thrill of my husband). We are in Parker, AZ now for about two weeks and are enjoying the sun, bike riding and the Parker 425 mile cross country races. As you can see from the pictures below. The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. News from the home front. Clint and Tanya are having a baby girl in June. As a nana I am soo pleased. We talked to Shannon and the boys this morning and she said Porter is using the big boy potty. They grow up so fast!!! Well, that's about all for now. Take care and enjoy the day!

During this race you get right up front and personal with the trucks

We were very lucky that their had been a lot of rain otherwise this would have been very dusty.

We had a humming bird feeder outside the camper window and had lots of customers!
Beautiful sunset and sunrises out here.

This is what it looked like during the rain storm. Lee,and I coming back from a ride to the city.

January and the snowbirds are going south

Here we are in 2010!! sounds like something out of science fiction, but it is real. Lee and I are hopefully off to Arizona for a few weeks, providing that a biopsy done on my lip comes back non cancerous. We had a great December with out trip to PV and then Christmas and New Year. I was able to spend sometime with Shannon and the boys for about 10 days and truly enjoyed the time. It was great getting to go with the boys to see Santa Clause. Porter wasn't too sure but the candy cane helped a lot. Wyatt is sitting up almost by himself now and eating some table food now. We had a progressive New Years Eve party this year. Snacks, Dinner and Dessert. Much food and drink were had by all !!! John Beck supplied the transportation from home to home with the tractor and trailer. We were sooooo lucky that we didn't get any new snow that evening.
Clint and Tanya are doing fine. It is hard to be away from them especially at the holidays. Dane is now starting to talk on the phone saying hi and bye. (look out world when he gets the hang of this phone business) Clint and Tanya are expecting in June and I can't wait to know weather it is a boy or a little girl .
Well, that's about all for now. I will update hopefully from Parker in a couple of weeks.
Life is good~~~~~

The last stop of our progressive New Years Eve party. We had such a good time.
This was our mode of transportation from house to house on New Years Eve.

Wyatt looks like a little angel here.

Porter and Wyatt visiting Santa Clause.
Watching the parade works up and appetite for Flan, it was delicious !!!!
December is a very festive time in Puerto Vallarta with parades every evening the 1st thru the 12th of December.

Lee went out fishing a couple of times and caught a nice Mahi Mahi and this smaller fish.
